Case study · Nadish Vyas · Financial services · Jan – Aug 2026 · 13 people

We turned scattered spreadsheets and manual approvals into LIMA, a web platform with dashboards, engagement workflows, financial statement reports and sign-off, built over eight months after eight weeks of process discovery.

- 8 wk: of audit process discovery with the client
- 13: person cross-functional team
- 15: core screens from login to sign-off

## Project overview

LIMA is a smart financial audit and compliance platform that streamlines financial verification, risk assessment and reporting. It is being built in phases; this story covers Phase 1, which started life under the working name "Audit Tool."

The goal was to reduce manual processes, improve data accuracy and centralize audit workflows, so teams can work more efficiently, monitor compliance closely and make better-informed decisions.

## About the client

Mr. Nadish Vyas is a chartered accountant and audit senior manager with more than 15 years in financial services, accounting advisory and auditing, working with firms across India, the United States, the South Pacific, the Middle East and Mongolia.

He focuses on modernizing audit and compliance through technology, process innovation and practical AI, and he creates risk matrices and templates that help audit professionals put structured compliance into practice.

### The challenge

- **Little visibility**: Hard to monitor audit progress, track assigned tasks and see across many audit activities at once.
- **Manual approvals**: Approval steps created bottlenecks, slowed decisions and delayed audit completion.
- **Heavy reporting effort**: Preparing, consolidating and reviewing audit reports took significant manual work.
- **Scattered information**: Documents and activities lived across different tools, making consistency and access difficult.
- **Disconnected teamwork**: Limited coordination led to miscommunication, late follow-ups and missed deadlines.

### Our approach

We spent nearly eight weeks with Mr. Vyas understanding his financial and audit processes through detailed discussions and workflow analysis, so we could find the root causes of inefficiency before writing any code.

Our technical architect designed a scalable foundation that integrates workflows and centralizes data, and the team chose technologies for performance, security and maintainability.

After implementation we gathered client feedback, refined workflows and improved usability, keeping the platform aligned with how audit teams actually work.

### Technology

- **Angular**: Interactive and responsive user interface
- **Node.js**: Server-side operations and business logic
- **PostgreSQL**: Secure storage of audit records and structured data
- **AWS**: Reliable cloud infrastructure and deployment
- **Figma**: Wireframes, dashboards and interface design
- **GitLab**: Source control and team collaboration
- **Postman**: API development and integration testing

### What we built

- **Administrative dashboard** (Delivered): A central interface for system control, operational monitoring and data management.
- **UI/UX design and frontend** (Delivered): A responsive, user-centric interface with consistent design across devices.
- **Technical documentation** (Delivered): System architecture, core functions and implementation specs for maintenance and future phases.
- **Core web application** (Phase 1 delivered): The essential audit functions and a scalable foundation for the next phases.

### Impact

- **Better cross-team collaboration**: Audit and compliance teams share information and work through structured workflows.
- **Less manual work**: Fewer repetitive tasks and spreadsheets, more time for audit analysis.
- **Operational visibility**: Dashboards show audit progress, pending activities, approvals and updates.
- **A modern experience**: Organized workflows and a clean interface make daily work simpler.
- **Faster decisions**: Timely access to records, status tracking and structured reports speed up reviews.
- **Organized documentation**: Central document management ends fragmentation in audit recordkeeping.
