Are electronic signatures legal in India?
Yes. The Information Technology Act, 2000 recognises electronic and digital signatures for most documents. Some documents, such as wills, powers of attorney, trusts and contracts for the sale of immovable property, are excluded and need traditional execution. Check with your legal advisor which signature type your documents need.
