Project overview
LIMA is a smart financial audit and compliance platform that streamlines financial verification, risk assessment and reporting. It is being built in phases; this story covers Phase 1, which started life under the working name "Audit Tool."
The goal was to reduce manual processes, improve data accuracy and centralize audit workflows, so teams can work more efficiently, monitor compliance closely and make better-informed decisions.
About the client
Mr. Nadish Vyas is a chartered accountant and audit senior manager with more than 15 years in financial services, accounting advisory and auditing, working with firms across India, the United States, the South Pacific, the Middle East and Mongolia.
He focuses on modernizing audit and compliance through technology, process innovation and practical AI, and he creates risk matrices and templates that help audit professionals put structured compliance into practice.
What needed solving
- 01
Little visibility
Hard to monitor audit progress, track assigned tasks and see across many audit activities at once.
- 02
Manual approvals
Approval steps created bottlenecks, slowed decisions and delayed audit completion.
- 03
Heavy reporting effort
Preparing, consolidating and reviewing audit reports took significant manual work.
- 04
Scattered information
Documents and activities lived across different tools, making consistency and access difficult.
- 05
Disconnected teamwork
Limited coordination led to miscommunication, late follow-ups and missed deadlines.
What the client asked for
- Unified dashboardMonitor progress, pending tasks and critical updates from one modern interface.
- AutomationReplace spreadsheets and repetitive data entry to cut errors and admin work.
- Central repositoryOne home for audit records, supporting documents and compliance information.
- Reporting and analysisFaster report generation, stronger risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
- Structured workflowsClear task assignment, approvals and follow-ups across the team.
How we built it
We spent nearly eight weeks with Mr. Vyas understanding his financial and audit processes through detailed discussions and workflow analysis, so we could find the root causes of inefficiency before writing any code.
Our technical architect designed a scalable foundation that integrates workflows and centralizes data, and the team chose technologies for performance, security and maintainability.
After implementation we gathered client feedback, refined workflows and improved usability, keeping the platform aligned with how audit teams actually work.
