Project overview

Goyant is a multi-service travel and booking platform that connects travellers with businesses across travel and hospitality, starting with Goa. It brings accommodation, motorcycle rentals, cab services, event bookings and restaurant reservations into one digital ecosystem.

The client asked for two mobile apps: a User App for discovering and booking services and a Business Owner App for onboarding businesses and managing their offerings, backed by a web platform. This case study covers Phase 1.

About the client

Mr. Pratish Porwal's love of travel has taken him across India, Southeast Asia and the United Arab Emirates. For him, travel is about cultures, people, local food and lasting memories. Goa holds a special place in his heart.

His own experiences as a traveller inspired a simple idea: bring people closer to destinations by connecting them with the local businesses that make each place unique. That idea became Goyant.

The challenge

What needed solving

  1. 01

Too many apps for one trip

Finding restaurants, reliable cabs, motorcycle rentals and local experiences meant switching between several platforms or relying on word of mouth.

  2. 02

    No single travel ecosystem

There was no unified place where travellers could discover, access and book the essential services of a destination.

  3. 03

Local businesses were hard to find

Cab operators, rental shops, restaurants and event organizers in Goa had limited ways to reach travellers digitally.

What the client asked for

  • Web and mobileA web application plus mobile apps for both travellers and business owners.
  • DiscoveryHelp travellers find destinations, restaurants, events, activities and local attractions.
  • CommunityLet travellers share experiences, recommend places and highlight must-do activities.
  • One marketplaceBring travellers, residents, event organizers, restaurants, cab services and motorcycle rentals onto one platform.
  • Business presenceGive local businesses a way to list and manage their offerings and reach customers.
  • Room to growA flexible foundation for new services and destinations beyond Goa.
Our approach

How we built it

Mr. Pratish Porwal spent eight weeks on the Baap campus with our team, explaining his vision while we researched similar platforms, studied market needs and suggested ideas to improve the experience.

We defined the information architecture and workflows from three sides: how travellers discover and book, how businesses manage their offerings, and how administrators review submissions. Wireframes became detailed Figma designs, reviewed regularly with Mr. Porwal.

Requirements changed often under a tight timeline. We kept the project moving by structuring work into clear workflows, building reusable UI patterns, mapping application states and edge cases, and folding client feedback into every cycle.

The first version of Goyant went live on Google Play in June. We also supported the launch with promotional ad campaigns, video content and digital marketing.
